Q & A With Morgan:
WHY DID YOU BECOME A REALTOR®?
After 11 years at the Keg Steakhouse, I decided to step out of customer service and dispatch for a construction company. I missed the social aspect of meeting new people and the “everyday is different” mentality. I then had met a real estate agent that without barely knowing me, saw my potential and knew I had what it took to become an agent. So after quickly thinking it over, I thought, why not? I got my courses done as quick as possible and here I am! It was the best decision I ever made and I couldn’t be happier to be where I am today.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF SELLING REAL ESTATE?
My favourite part has to be the excitement my clients feel from finding not just a house but a place to call home. Being able to connect with them on a whole new personal level, you learn so much about them in the process and it’s the best feeling in the world when you can finally say, it’s yours!
WHERE DO YOU LIKE TO TRAVEL?
I’ve always been a very hard and ambitious worker, so I haven’t dedicated to much of my time to traveling. I did recently travel to Los Angeles and it was one of the best experiences to date. I travelled alone, which was also a first, I learned a lot of new things, not only about myself but about the different culture and people in LA! My dream vacation is Santorini and Bora Bora.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE BOOKS, MOVIES, SHOWS, BANDS?
The Magic of Thinking Big by David J Schwartz. I read this in my first year of real estate and it really helped shift my mindset to prepare me for this career.
WHAT'S ONE THING MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I was a competitive synchronized swimmer for 6 years! My duet partner and I won first place in Ontario. I eventually quit because I wanted to play high school sports, but if I stayed one year longer I would have been on the National team!
